This one can be hard. We live in an age of instant gratification. In other words, if we don't get results, the moment we try something, we are apt to give up and move on to something else.
If you are determined to be successful in ANY ENDEAVOR, you have to be willing to grind it out. Start with the end in mind. Make sure that you set milestones, i.e. "breadcrumbs" along your path so that you truly know that you're getting somewhere.
Like the old tortoise and hare story, slow and steady... :)
