I used to be the person that would go to the gym, use the elliptical, and maybe 2 machines for my legs ♀️
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and had no real routine. I consistently looked lost and I'm sure on several occasions the regulars would chuckle to themselves about poor form or my confused look
But that never stopped me from continuing that pattern for several years and after every gym day I would go home and carb out.... i mean i earned it didn't i?
And it never failed that I would question how these people at the gym had such awesome results and I looked the same or worse.. like WTF?! .
So I just stopped everything all together until I found Insanity. I was skeptical at first but not having to go to the gym and having someone guiding me on what to do even if it was from my living room sound perfect .
Oh and ALSO I was the girl who thought I would get "too manly" if I did arm day ♀️♀️ .
That was until I got smart, found a coach, an online community of women, and kept myself accountable while watching said women lift and NOT get manly! 🤯
They helped me, guided me, and I picked the right program for me to start with and now I've never looked back! .
My results may seem minimal to you but if you look at previous pictures I literally had NO arm muscle! Nada! Now after consistently lifting weights I'm getting there, not a man, and looking forward for MORE! .
I could not be more grateful for the opportunity I got to no longer look like a deer in the headlights at the gym Heres to the next 8 weeks with my new home personal trainer and seeing what changes I can make!
Want to know why i show up everyday?? For the people that are struggling and needing the support and love that i know i can offer. Plus it holds me accountable
Let’s be honest. Losing weight and getting in shape is HARD. Especially trying to do it alone. Stephany was struggling with postpartum depression (as a lot of women do) and having the support from THIS community has been a life saver!! She has worked her butt off...on the good days and bad days...and guess what? Over time and being consistent it has WORKED! Imagine that! Working out at home and eating clean works. No crazy fad diet. She made herself a priority and then was able to give her very best self to her family.
Trust me, trying to battle things alone are dang hard. I’m so super proud of this girl. She has been an example to me and it’s funny how people come into your life and leave a big mark on it. Message me if you just need someone to cheer you on every single day...that’s my favorite part of what i do and i am obsessed with seeing people change their life
Day 2 workout of my new program complete. I brought my resistance band along until I can get my hands on some weights again. I probably needed an extra one for some moves, but hey, I'm making it work. I still got in a good sweat!
Nutrition wasn't absolutely perfect yesterday. I definitely took in more carbs than I intended. But hardly eating the day before due to being in a car all day, followed by a hard workout in the morning...I was starving! No stressing about it, I got in a good amount of veggies and water still.
Today is a new day, and a beautiful one at that!
If I want to encourage someone I have to start from myself - be the excellent example! So...today I made my one of ‘jobs to do’ of checking myself: Liepaja-Priekules-Liepāja by bike!!! It was about three years I was thinking about it and today I DID IT!!! Alone...with my trustable #gazellebike I was really sure that I will get to Priekule, that I will come back also today-wasn’t sure at all! When you DECIDE, you sign up fully and keep moving toward your goal, regardless of what’s flung in your path. And stuff will most definitely get flung. That’s life.
But the moment it gets hard, uncomfortable or inconvenient, if you haven’t made the DECISION, you’ll quit.
So often, we PRETEND we’ve made a decision, when what we’ve REALLY done is signed up to TRY until it gets too hard.
Your journey won’t be perfect. There’s no need to fear failure, because failure is inevitable. Hear me out... Nobody gets to the top of the mountain without falling on his face over and over again.
There are two outcomes from failing. You learn or succeed. The only true failure is quitting.
