One on the risks we face when they try to engage a lot immediately after posting a photo is that we easily become impatient and start to engage really fast to get it over with. To be honest, heart emojis, does not count as a comment and emojis don’t count as a word. DON’T just comment: ‘Love that’, ‘Love this’, “So cute’. To drive real, genuine engagement and people that actually read your content, you have to show that you genuinely care about the content other people’s too.
Before commenting on someone’s posts- Look at their content, read the caption and try to write a nice and meaningful comment- maybe about something specific you saw in the picture or read in the caption. Always leave the comments that you will want to receive for your posts. There is nothing more embarrassing than when someone has clearly not read the caption and write a non related comment.. When it happen it makes us look so bad!
Some of us are using fixed comments we set up in our keyboard.. Sometimes I can see the exact same comments from the same person on multiple posts- Doesn't look great either! So make sure you are using it properly and updating the comments on regular basis.
Algorithm tip- Always leave 4+ word comment, emoji doesn’t count as a word, otherwise IG will recognise it as a robotic comment and won’t count it at all.
