It’s always fascinating to see footage of how you dive. Back in 2015 while diving with my sister and a friend, the friend pushed themselves too far and blacked out at 8m after a 40m dive. I had to dive down, bring him back up and really thought he was dead for a few seconds when he started he started foaming at the mouth. Thankfully, I’d done a freedive course about a month earlier and learnt about safety, what to do when someone blacks out. Ever since, I make sure I ALWAYS have a dive buddy, so that I can always keep an eye on them and them on me and I never ever push myself too far. It really made me nervous when diving for awhile. Understanding your limitations is one of the most important parts of spearfishing and freediving. No fish is ever worth not coming home for. This video is real time and how I like to come up from dives, calm, relaxed and with enough of air still left in my body.
