Six months of hard work and a lot of sweat Looking back I was in denial at how much weight I had put on over the last couple of years and it was only when I saw the first photo that it became real up until about five years ago I had always been active and led a healthy lifestyle but commuting, working long hours and renovating a house left me feeling tired with little time for myself. After being signed off with exhaustion last year I knew I needed to make changes.
Sometimes it's hard to stay motivated when you don't feel like you are making progress especially if the numbers on the scales aren't changing week on week so photos are a great way of monitoring your progress.
There are only a couple of pounds between the photos in May and August but by keeping my training consistent with @365_gainz I've still made changes to my body It's not been easy as I work away a lot but now I make sensible choices with my food and always make sure I plan in time to hit the gym Relaxing and recharging this week in the sun before setting some new goals to smash when I get back.
It's easy to get caught up in the visual and forget about the inner landscape - which is causing the visual. If you could tell the world what's really behind your photos, what would you say?

I'm fortunate to have beautiful, relaxing views for my patients as well as my lunch hour walk. This is an incredible place to have an office. I'm very grateful for every step that led me to an independent office, some of which were painful and difficult. The results were more than worth it.
I came off an anniversary weekend at the beach followed by three days of work travel, so while I know I rocked my nutrition each day I was a little nervous about what would be reflected on the scale.
Down 5.8 lbs!! I am officially halfway to my starting weight loss goal!!
When I started at 503 lbs. I set a weight loss goal of 250 lbs. it was sort of nebulous because I don’t know how my body will be at that weight, but it seemed like a good starting point. I was certain that it would take me a year to get this half way point, and I am a bit awestruck having reached this point in one week shy of six months!
Also, I had a huge non scale victory yesterday on the way home from SoCal. I have slowly been able to find planes in first class, and even on some virgin airlines planes where the seat belts are a little longer and be fine without a seatbelt extender. But the standard Alaska planes single seat belts are shorter and though I’ve been inching closer all the time, i had not reached that point. Until yesterday! It was snug and I had to help it along, but I got it buckled and I am back to single seatbelt life!!

Low Carb Ceaser Salad
Most ceaser salads are full of many MANY hidden calories but here is my tried and tested low carb, high protein recipe!
Dressing (enough for two)
-125g 0% fat Greek yogurt
-Tbsp grated parmesan
-Tbsp Worcester sauce
-Salt and Pepper to taste
Mix sauce with a head of lettuce (Cos or Baby Gem is best)
Grill a chicken breast per person and add to salad
Can add boiled eggs and avocado if you have spare calories!

The first video shows me hitting a deadlift PR (225x10). The second video is where I die because @billboi_270 is nuts and thought it would be cute to add a drop set to finish (135x20). He always has me doing some crazy shit I would never do on my own!
Remember growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone!
Side Note: Being FIT, CURVY and STRONG is the goal moving forward!

Yesterday I woke up and felt great, but then I had a follow-up visit with a Doctor of Osteopath to consult about another cortisone injection. Even though I knew the injection wasn't happening that day, I still got really anxious, shaky, and teared up a little during the appointment.

I am incredibly stoked for the San Jose fit expo this weekend. I will be participating in the men’s best abs and best back contests. This is hopefully the first of many competitions I will do in the future.
Looking back at my fitness journey is always a trip. I remember curling 15’s and doing push-ups in my room because I didn’t have the confidence to step into a public gym. I remember struggling to shoulder press 30 lb dumbbells. I used to often wear oversized hoodies because I was too self conscious and embarrassed to show my body.
There is always a reason why we start, and the reasons change and evolve as time passes.
But if you do start, and stay consistent, improving just a tiny bit per day, you WILL get results. And if you already work out, take it to then next level! Every workout you do brings you closer to your goal.
I believe YOU can do it. Do NOT settle for less than your BEST self.
