📸 note from @e.v.a__v: “sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simple by doing them with the right people.”
Roussillon is one of our favorite villages in the Vaucluse. It is known for its large ochre deposits found in the clay surrounding the village. Ochres are pigments ranging from yellow, orange, and red. As a kid I remember asking “Can we go to the red village?” I have been visiting this village almost every summer for as long as I can remember. Last summer I had the pleasure of taking @istellarjosh to this astonishing village. Knowing me, I have to enter every cute boutique to see what treasures they might have. I could not have wished for a more patient partner, as Josh is always either waiting for me or joining me. This time I think Roussillon’s beauty overwhelmed him. While I was inside a jewelry boutique, he went wandering through the village and was amazed by every inch of it. I figured he was probably doing photography. When I found him at the top of the village with an incredible view surrounding us, he had this priceless look of happiness and joy on his face. This ultimately gave me a smile from ear to ear. We walked back down through the village, took photos together and talked about all that we saw. No matter how many times, I had already been there, I shared Roussillon with Josh and it made the place and my memories of it even more special.
