During my stay in Den Haag the weather was never that great, but one evening the sky cleaned up and showed a beautiful "northern blue". Though friends were waiting for dinner I thought It was worth making them wait a little more while I was taking few shots near the station (at my right)... hopefully they forgave me :-) Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II IS USM
HDR of 3 long exposures (3s, 6s, 12s)

“Xiahe is a small town in the west of Gansu province though it falls under Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, originally part of the Tibetan Amdo region. About my 8th or 9th time working on an edit for this shot. Maybe I’ll never get it just right. Or maybe I’ll just never be able to recreate the feeling I had sitting on top of sand dunes watching the sun fade over the Sahara in Morocco . One of my favorite travel memories.
