I grew up as the older daughter of 4 girls in Quito, Ecuador. My parents were young so their parenting baby approach was bring your baby along to all of their adventures. I was not even 3 months when I was taken tent camping to the beautiful mountains of the Andes.
The magic of pictures is the story behind them. This photo is a memory a moment in my life.
We used to go on #weekend active travel adventures.
We used to go fishing, hunting, running or hiking. Rain, snow or shine, we never went a single day without some time spent outdoors playing with my sisters or on a active #adventure honoring our mother earth.
There was almost nothing easy about the way I grew up, but I was taught that like earth, life is continuously changing its season so never take the now for granted.
To this day, it remains one of the most valuable lessons I’ve ever learned to make sure I enjoy the now & do not take for granted the moments we have to spend with those we love, I can always recenter and find a much needed calm with even a few minutes connecting with nature. #nature #lifejourney
What childhood lesson do you still practice?
