Regrann from @fiyinfoluawotoye - 2Tim2:1-3 - I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
@realdonaldtrump met with @marshalkimjongun in what appears to be a landmark event in the efforts to secure peace with North Korea. The reality is that when people are aggrieved, those with less powers are likely to be mute and submit to the interests of the powerful people. However, in this situation, we not only have folks backed up with sophisticated and well equipped armies, but also have folks that seem not to care much.
You might think the outcome of their discussion is none of your business or that you can't be bothered about what happens the days and months after their discussion. The reality is that if they reach peaceful resolutions, you will enjoy and if God forbid war breaks out, you will be negatively impacted while those causing the war will be the last to suffer the physical pain. People that endured the 2nd world war or others in war torn zones in the Middle East will understand better. For instance, many have died in Syria and Assad their prime minister, who makes decisions for the country, still enjoys palace life with his family.
What can you do?
Make a simple prayer to God in the name of Jesus that God will give both leaders wisdom to guide their decisions.
Pray that pride and ego will not dominate the thinking faculty of both leaders
Pray that you will not be negatively affected by the pride of other men. Pray also that the strife of the tongues of other men will not negatively impact you and your loved ones. Ps31:20 talks about God hiding His beloved from the pride of man and from the strife of the tongues. That will be our portion in Jesus’s name I pray. Amen.
