After all the hundreds and hundreds of years of racial genocide, terrorism, brutal and unapoligetic global colonisation via empire, murder, rape, torture, slavery, robbery of resources and dehumanisation of women and children, as well as unmentioned horror stories and sickening realities, I feel there is little if anything left to be proud of for this country. And that is something that troubles me consistently within my own consciousness.
But nonetheless.. It is my home. A place I look for peace and clarity within my heart. Although I may not always find that underneath the burdens of society and all that is implicated through it, I am blessed to be able to step outside and appreciate all of the wonderful physical surrounding of nature that this ancient land beholds. It is a beautiful land. Nature has no judgemental, egotistical or biast method of conceiving emotions and thoughts (unlike us human populations of course), and if there is one thing I can hold precious about the history of my homeland.. It is that behind all the blatant undermining and active destruction of this entire planet and it's people, this small island in the north Atlantic is full of beautiful nature, animals and landscapes that parts of have existed for millions of years (quite literally). I give back to this land from all the years of growing up here and experiencing first hand this environment, all the love that I have vested within me. Love and Peace to all who have persisted through reading this, I love you all with deep solidarity. 💟 #unitedkingdom #England #Gloucestershire #country #nature #beauty #fields #animals #sky #habitat #Unity #peace
