When you work for yourself the pressure can be immense. With accountability on you, it’s easy to work 24/7 and still feel like you’re not moving the wheel or ever really caught up. To-do lists never seem to get shorter and even when nothing feels especially pressing it still nags at you. There’s a certain element of proving you can do it, but more than that, to do it on your own terms. I don’t often give myself time off (and generally even work weekends), but this week I decided to randomly play hooky. It was a much needed mental health day and a good reminder of why I’m doing this. Any other strategies to cope for when you’re stuck in a rut?
