Day 16 - Run Streak So I continued my self love birthday celebrations into today and enjoyed a solo day of shopping and running around town. I think it’s so important to take time to spoil ourselves once in a while. 🛍 💅 ☕️ 🍟 Tomorrow I will be back to my regular routine feeling refreshed after my fabulous day today 😊 . . . 5km tempo treadmill
Enjoyed my morning with these two so much! Started out as a trio and ran 6 miles with @jenzenator in the cold 😁 and.then @deettmcclary and I finished for a total of 15 miles. We ended up walking the last mile and a half and still had a decent pace so I was happy!! So great to have friends who want to do this together 😍
4.5 #recoverymiles early in the morning! #wakeupandrun . The first mile was a wake up and slip slip slide slide on the ice while my feet warmed up! . I went rogue and followed a different path than planned but it just tipped me over the requested 4 miles and allowed me to run in the center of the road! Good Morning! Wow, I needed this run!! I woke at 4:30am (which was a struggle)! But I knew I had friends waiting for me at the gym!! I got in 3.5 miles and some great conversation with my “running/mom friends!” I’ve never been someone who liked talking while running...I typically like to “zone out” and listen to music! But these women are so fun and easy to chat with...the time flies by AND it definitely adds to the workout...trying to hold conversation while running is difficult! I hope you all are having a great start to your Wednesday!😊

Leg day didn't disappoint!!!!😁 Started with 4.5 miles alternating between slow hills and speed work for ten minutes at a time. Felt better than I thought it would. Typically I run easy between the hills but I'm trying to push myself harder! Then it was this circuit for legs and glutes: Banded squat walks 4 x 10 Banded kickbacks 4 x 10 Seated Hip abduction 4 x 12 Hip thrusts 4 x 12 Kettlebell squats 4 x 12 Deadlifts 4 x 12 Standing hip abduction 4 x 12
