An evening rant:
The IoT microcosm of the prototypical organization is riddled with vulnerabilities just begging to be exploited.
Rampant vulnerabilities are typically due to the existence of new and legacy technologies Frankensteined together for economy and cyber hygienic apathy.
I find the health sector to be the most vulnerable to exploit. They have it all: data to exfiltrate, vulnerable devices to set up persistence and to host malware for future attack.
MRI machines, X-ray machines, the nurse station computer...these technologies make it easy to set up back doors for easy in and out while simultaneously acting as beach heads for future attacks.
White hats: consider your network compromised until you’ve forensically proven otherwise.
