Fuerteventura, Island of my childhood, is at first glance only a moon landscape! But if you move away from the main road, you realize that the volcano island is very diverse and beautiful. Here are some impressions wich are very different places. White sand dunes, black lava beaches, caves, mountains and viewpoints with incredible views, old charming villages, caribbean beaches in the south of the island, a variety of animals, many old ruins and windmills, lighthouses and a very beautiful flora and fauna!
Fuerteventura is definitely worth a visit.
Moving our girl to San Francisco was not an easy job, first of all because it's really hard to let go your child step into the big world alone, and secondly because the weather wasn't making it any easier - the wind was kind of cold and also made my hair look like a broom But who cares? It's a happy/ scary day for us! #sendingkidtocollege#sanfrancisco#worried#windy#beautifulcity
Hear the wind gusting, you can imagine how cold it was along the shores of Lake Wakatipu that day. Brrr!
The Practice: Focused attention meditation
One of my favorite meditations to do is a focused attention meditation on the wind. Now if you don't have a windy day scheduled, a fan will do. Get into your mindful body, either sitting, standing, or lying down, and then focus your attention on the feeling of the wind against your skin. There is something about it that is really soothing. Try it out and let me know what you think!
(I call this my "Millicent and the Wind" pose )
