As the 2018-19 @fisalpine World Cup season comes to an end, I wanted to pay tribute to what has been another extraordinary season of ski racing.
We have seen legends retire from the sport, rising stars shine, and familiar faces dominate. We have seen some spectacular races this year, from the emotional downhill in @are2019 to a podium for @daveryding in the @holmenkollenalpint New Year’s Race!
And from a personal point of view, this season has been so much better thanks to all the wonderful people I have talked to and got to know through this account, united in our love of ski racing.
When I made this account last July, I could never imagine all the people I would get to share my passion for ski racing with. It’s been hard at times to balance running this account with everything else I have to do, but it has been a lot of fun too!
For now, I have my main school exams in May and June so that’s where I will focus on for the next few months. I will still be around and keep this account updated with all the ski racing news in the offseason, and I hope we can all be back for the start of the 2020 season in @soelden.official in 222 days time!
Thank you, merci beaucoup, Danke schön, grazie mille.
