Here’s a little reverse #transformationtuesday 😅
This is after 8 weeks of not touching any weights, and being completely sedentary. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Theres two things I want to show by this:
1: The old myth that, “you lose all your muscle when you stop working out” isn’t true. Muscle is the last place your body goes to burn calories. It is “expensive” tissue for the body, and it does whatever it can to retain it. While there is a noticeable decrease in muscle, I still have a base that you can see.
2: I wanted to have a baseline post to show how long it takes to get back to where I was. Muscle memory really is a thing, and there are certain things that don’t go away, no matter how long you take off from the gym; such as the mind-muscle connection you build. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
