The best gifts are always the most thoughtful ones. This @santateresarum has been one of my favorite sipping rums as of late, and if you’re still looking for a quality gift for your family & friends, especially if they’re fellow cocktail enthusiasts, then definitely come with a bottle of this 🥃 . #SantaTeresaPartner#SantaTeresa1796
Been low key through the holidays, but still mixin’ up some recipes for y’all. Featured a recipe for ya over on the @esquire IG stories so go take a peek if you have some holiday shenanigans going on this weekend 🎄🕺🏽 Hope y’all are having a solid Friday 🤙🏽 . 📸: @drinkwithben
Staying on the theme of the @cooperandthief Spiced Red Wine syrup I posted up yesterday (check my IG stories for the recipe). Turns out it makes a pretty mean Sazerac too 🔥 Definitely gonna be a go-to recipe for me from now on. Peep the specs below, and make sure you sip every last drop 💧 . Spiced Red Wine Sazerac • 1 oz Cognac (used @pierreferrandpf 1840) • 1 oz Rye Whiskey (used @whistlepigwhiskey 12 yr.) • 1/4 oz Spiced Red Wine Syrup • 1-2 Dashes of Peychaud’s bitters • Dash of Angostura Bitters . Combine ingredients into a mixing glass and stir with ice. Strain into a chilled glass rinsed with absinthe. Express a lemon peel over the cocktail and drop it in.
It’s been awesome partnering and mixing drinks with @cooperandthief, using their versatile ex-Bourbon barrel aged Red Wine Blend as a bold main ingredient in red wine cocktails to step up the holiday festivities. First recipe up – the Spiced Red Wine Hot Toddy. Take a look at the recipe below, and my IG stories for a breakdown on how to make the recipe. Cheers y’all! #cooperandthief#for21+ #cooperandthiefpartner . Spiced Red Wine Hot Toddy • 1.5 oz @drinkhighwest Bourbon • 1/2 oz lemon juice • 1/2 oz @cooperandthief spiced red wine syrup • 3-4 oz hot water • Garnish: Burnt cinnamon stick and lemon wheel
Just had our last official @earnyourbooze event of 2018, and I’m all smiles. I’ll be honest, when Justin and I started EYB I just thought we’d just be making t-shirts. Talk about having a lack of vision lol. You might not always see the bigger picture of what you create, and what you put out into the world, but if it’s something that makes a difference to others and serves a higher purpose outside of yourself then it really does take on a life of its own. To all of you that have followed along this year, it’s been one hell of a year. I appreciate all the positivity and support y’all send my way cause it really does help to keep me going. Back to the videos & drink recipes for y’all this week, hope ya had a solid weekend. Make it a good night you little garlic cheese biscuits 🍞🤓 #EarnYourBooze

All in all, definitely something you need in your arsenal as a bartender, or cocktail enthusiast. Giving away my extra copy of the book. Peep below on how to enter: . • Like this post • Follow @earnyourbooze • Follow @deathandcompany • Tag a friend and comment your favorite thanksgiving dish 😋

About a year ago I was down in Mexico with @patron. I struck up conversation with this guy who was telling me about this book he and his wife were writing together. The book wasn’t being released for another 10 months or so, but I randomly threw out the idea that he should do signature cocktails for the book launch; and he randomly threw out the idea that I be the one that created ‘em. I said hell yeah, and he gave me his card to stay in touch. The card read: Jason Feifer, Editor in Chief of @entrepreneur. I remember thinking, “Welp..that’s pretty effing cool.” We stayed in touch. The book launch was amazing. And fast forward to last night, having the opportunity to lead the VIP experience for @entrepreneur annual event. Had a convo with @heyfeifer, and we laughed a bit about how we met. I mentioned how even a year later I’m still very much figuring things out as I go with what I’m doing, and he said that’s what entrepreneurship is. He said it’s not having all the answers and being willing to embrace the uncertainty of figuring things out as you go. Felt like that really hit home. I share my journey, and my travels, and my experiences with y’all but I hope I never come across as having made it, because I don’t think you ever truly do. I’m very much in the same boat as y’all, figuring things out as I go. Feel like that’s not such a bad boat to be in 🛥 Keep pushin’ & figuring things out y’all. I’m rootin for you 🤙🏽
