Are you starting yoga and you don’t know where to start? Then this post is for you. Here a few tips if you are a beginner at yoga: - The internet can be your best friend, go to Youtube search yoga for beginners (follow Yoga With Briohny 😉) and try a few classes. - Gear can be overwhelming, start with what you have at home, wear something comfortable, you don’t need the expensive stuff to get started…. Just start! - Use the things you have at home. For a strap use a belt or for blocks maybe use a book, get creative! - Start with a few styles and try them, you will need this to find the style you love, don't give up easily, you have to give it several shots. - Don’t worry how advance other´s are, or how hard it looks, just focus on growing, learning, this process can be the best part, from here things can only go up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #yogaforbegginers#yogatips#yogaadvice#yogapractice#yogalove @bryceyogaschool @actionhiro behind the camera
Part of the yoga teacher hustle is to create sequences that will help your students both mentally and physically. When you are new at sharing yoga creating your own sequence can be overwhelming. Having a template can help and from there you can deviate and add your own flare. @bryceyogaschool allows you to collect different tools and share diverse ways of yoga. During your journey, you will take so many different classes, that without even knowing you will start creating your own library and creating your own sequences. How was your first time creating a sequence? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #sequence#yogateacher#yogahustle#yogastudents#yogis#yogatools @diceyoga@yogawithbriohny wearing @aloyoga

What are dual actions? Dual action occurs when we deliberately apply energy in the opposite direction during a yoga posture or asana. No matter what #asana you are practicing, for the most part there are similar actions that occur within the body. In dual actions we learn that if you take the body into one extreme, then you have to take another action to take the body back towards the other end, to find neutrality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you are cueing students, it is important to remember that if you take them one way, you have to bring them back in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let’s take this notion into our daily life and ask ourselves When do you feel pulled in different directions at the same time in your life?
Teaching yoga it’s great, but finding a connection with your students it’s amazing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Our yoga journey is not only about the work but having real connections with teachers, students and others we meet along the way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Connecting is important because you are a yoga teacher, an entrepreneur, a business and a brand. If you are not able to connect person to person, or as a teacher then how can you engage with students? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Connection comes from the connection you have with yourself, the awareness of yourself as a person, as a teacher, and as a business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The more you know yourself, the easier it will be to form a real connection with others. Students will create a bond with you, this will help them listen what you want them to learn. So, this week the goal is to getting to know ourselves a bit better and be more open to create real connections with others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #yogateachertrainings#yogateachers#yogainspiration#yogalife#yogagoals#yogaconnections#yogajourney#yogalovers
Tips to teach a #handstands into a flow - From a crescent pose or a warrior one position come into a standing split or handstand pre-position. - Make sure to slide your front foot back to the middle of the mat, so that there is elbow space at the front of the mat. - Check correct handstand foundation alignment- hands/shoulders distance, ribs in, gaze between the wrist. - Jump of that standing position just lightly. To have more cardio and movement switch their feet. Jump from the right feet to the left and so on. - Practice, pactice, practice! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let me know if you have any tips on how to incorporate handstands into a flow and follow our IGTV, we have several videos on handstands that might also help you achieve that handstand. @diceyoga@yogawithbriohny Wearing @aloyoga with @actionhiro behind the lens ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #yogaschool#yogatraining#handstandsintoaflow#yogateachers#yogalife#yogaposes#achievethatyogapose#teachingyogaposes
in our 300HR TT we work a lot on handstands. One of the most common questions is “Do I have to be able to do a handstand to do the training?” The answer is - No, you don’t have to be able to do a handstand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We do a lot of work on handstand. You will work with us and with a partner. The beauty of working with a partner is the feedback you get rather than when you work by yourself. You learn important tools that other people get in the handstand, and while teaching other people, you learn for yourself as well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Trainings are an amazing opportunity to absorb from others, meet students all over the world, you will have a chance to look at their backgrounds, learn from interactions and grow as people and as teachers. Give it a shot! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #300hr#yogaschool#yogainspiration#yoga4growth#yogateacher#instayoga#handstand#yogatraining#yogilife
Congratulations! You’ve graduated from a #yogateachertraining…. What is your next step? This comes up a lot on our DMs. Joining a training is an exciting opportunity to deepen your yoga practice while learning new tools to pursue your passion as a career. But when you graduate and get home, it can be very overwhelming to feel like your life is hanging on the next step you take. If this sounds familiar, breathe and keep reading. We have a few tips for you: -Practice, practice, practice: The more you practice teaching, the more experience you will get. Fear will gradually be replaced by confidence in yourself and your ability. So ask your friends & family for favor and start practicing -Knock on as many doors as possible: Opportunities are out there, you just have to find them. And the only way to find them is if you reach out to as many people as possible and ask for them. -Ask for advice: Do you admire someone’s path and would like to know how they got there? Ask them! A lot of yogis out there are generous and will willingly share their journey with you and tips on how they landed those same opportunities you’re looking for. Advice is only a DM away, and this applies to us too! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Good luck on your journey yogi and congrats on taking the first step towards achieving your dreams
Self-study is the heart of yoga, we study to have a deeper connection and a higher level of awareness of ourselves. Once you are self-aware, you are constantly doing it, because we change daily. We usually have 3 mayor awakenings: 1- Understanding where we come from 2- Where we are now 3- Where we want to be. Use meditation to figure out what you need to do, for you, in order to be the best version of yourself and for the people around you. What have you realized so far through your yoga practice?
A YTT can be exciting and intimidating at the same time. It is important to remember we’re all there for the same purpose. Our friendly approach is to encourage students to connect with each other before starting the training. By the time you arrive, you will feel relaxed and in good company. The training environment is a wonderful opportunity to share personal feelings, thoughts, and opinions with your circle. By the end, we promise that you will feel that your adventure will be beautiful, challenging, exciting, and worth your while.
