I had 3 plans for Boston Marathon.
A) 2:50 - The time I trained for. My perfect race.
B) 2:53 - the NY Marathon qualifying time.
C) Sub 3:00 - A realistic time I would be happy with.
I like to set a few goals when I race because it’s impossible to predict what can happen on the day. My final time was 2:57 — I didn’t achieve plan A, or plan B… but i was able to cross the line with a smile knowing I still achieved plan C - a goal I didn’t think was possible a few years back.
Now it’s time to set some new ones #tbt
