Ok, I know that tonight is the first night of Hanukkah and that I “should” be merry and post inspiring holiday photos of latkes. But, guys there’s an incredible conversation happening about how we deal with illness over on the blog with so many authentic and fantastic comments from you, my unbelievably amazing readers. You have become friends on this journey. 🕎 🕎 📷 pc @joefriendphotography in September when I was feeling incredible and on top of the world. That’s the nature of MS, one month you feel great and the next not so much. The best you can do with this tricky disease is fasten your seatbelt and hang on for the ride, because in the end, that’s what life is all about, for everyone, not just those of us with MS. 💗 💗 #MS#multiplesclerosis#hanukkah#holidays#holidaysurvival#autoimmunedisease#support#friendship 💗 💗 https://elanaspantry.com/what-not-to-say-to-someone-whos-sick/
Down and dirty shot of what I do with the bird after the Thanksgiving feast! Throw the carcass and neck in the Instant Pot along with the carrots 🥕 celery and onions I stuffed it with, add a couple tablespoons of ACV, cover with water and pressure cook for 30 minutes, then set to keep warm overnight. I don’t like to waste any part of the turkey and the bones make the best stock! I’ll add fresh veggies and the leftover meat to the soup tomorrow.
What to make for dinner the night before Thanksgiving is always a big question. My parents are in town so I wanted to do something special, but keep it incredibly simple. I’m making my Instant Pot Salmon Chowder, a new recipe I’m experimenting with that’s quickly becoming a family favorite! I also have a platter from @curedboulder and a beautiful arrangement from @fiori.flowers to celebrate! 🌸🍁🌻 What are you serving tonight?
