So the weather outside is frightful? β˜ƒοΈ Well, the cold never bothered the Chow Chows anyway. 🐢 @marthastewart48's pups were spotted enjoying "dog heaven” as they ran free to enjoy the cool, crisp outdoors on the Bedford farm.✨ And of course, the well-trained Chows are groomed for success. β€œEmpress Qin (pronounced β€˜chin’ πŸ‘‰πŸΌ on slide 3) is my two year old female Chow Chow half-sister to Han. She has her championship and hopefully will go to @westminsterkennelclub. πŸ† β€œ - Martha.

Little hands will love unfurling this mini evergreen party favor. πŸŽ„ Unravel the emerald streamer wrapped around this cardboard cone to reveal little gifts. 🎁 This gift-wrapping idea works best with small, slender stocking stuffers such as barrettes, fortune fish, or temporary tattoos. Behind the cover: Deputy Food Editor Greg Lofts (@brooklyncooks) shares the story behind our December cover. ✨ "I wanted to create a cookie that was a nod to a homemade wreath, decorated with pine sugared herbs, rosemary and thyme πŸŒΏπŸ‘‰πŸΌ pulled from our wreath-making party story in the current issue. I wanted something that was both a showstopper and easy-to-make (the shortbread dough only requires 4 ingredients!) For the glaze, I dipped the cookies in a mixture of meyer lemon juice and confectioners' sugar. πŸ‹ And the sugared herbs gives the cookie a fresh herbaceous flavor. πŸƒ I used little pearl candies to decorate in red green and white holiday colors. πŸŽ„ For this story, we went through about 250-300 cookies πŸͺ (we also had 7 different types of cookies that were contenders for the cover). Like always, the stories in our magazine are true to the recipe - no tricks here! We want everyone to be able to replicate the recipe and create their own cover-worthy masterpiece." ☺️ Grab your copy of our December issue out on newsstands! πŸ‘†πŸΌcover πŸ“·: @ryanliebe | bts πŸ“Έ: @sarahcarey1

Decorating your mantel for the holidays? πŸŽ„ Think outside the red-and-green box by incorporating a color palette of calming blues, terracotta pinks, and earthy ochres. πŸ‚ Start by placing brass candlesticks on each end to create balance and harmony. Then, hang a rich magnolia wreath above the mantel for a wink to the holidays. And for a showstopping finish, display a fun giftbox advent calendar in complementary pops of color. 🎁 See more of our favorite holiday mantel looks in the link in bio! πŸ‘†πŸΌπŸ“·: @jnlljns | created + styled by: @tinachadha @mollywhistle

Happy last day of Hanukkah! πŸ•Ž This stunning, snowy-white candlelit menorah looks like it's straight out of a fairytale. πŸ•― We made this enchanting display from a manzanita branch and faux ferns and covered them with chalk paint to give them a plaster-like finish. ✨ Along the branch, we secured brass flower-shaped taper holders and accent leaves, and positioned the candles organically. The shammash has its place of prominence atop a bend, and a few are nestled closely together in a hollow. 'Tis the season to trim the tree - the sugar-cookie tree that is! πŸŽ„Strands of melted white chocolate and a smattering of red candies mimic the appearance of Christmas lights, and a cookie star illuminates the top of each tree. ⭐️ Grab the recipe in our current December issue on newsstands or at the link in bio! πŸ“·: @ryanliebe | created by: @brooklyncooks
