Journal Entry 266: Remember | Dad
Often times I find strength through my past experiences. When I was 11 years old I lost my dad. He was diagnosed with ALS. He was bound to a wheelchair. I remember the feelings that I felt were unexplainable.
He had the qualities of a true man. Even though he couldn’t walk it doesn’t mean he couldn’t work. He worked hard, and he never complained. He was truly the hero of his story. He never gave up. Not even once. I remember after he died things got a little unstable in my life. I lost a lot of faith I had in people, in the world, and in myself.
Over the past couple of years I’ve really spent time trying to live like my dad if he had the opportunity to come back.
With that said...Every time you’re upset, every single time that you have a complaint about something in your life. Remember to breathe because you’re privileged to do so. Remember that your able to work at it because you’ve been blessed with a healthy body. And remember to give 100% in everything you do...because if you’re still here. You have no excuse, and nothing less is a life worth living.
