#DawsonCity - this was my hub for a few nights while exploring the great far north of the #Yukon. It's a crazy long drive to get here and you really feel completely isolated. I'd heard only quick stories of how steeped in lore and history this tiny town of only 1,300 or so residents is - having been settled in 1896 it was the beating heart of the #KlondikeGoldrush where nearly 100,000 people descended on the confluence of the #Klondike and #Yukon to claim their fortunes from 1896 to 1899. Lots of stories from here to come 👍🏼⛏️💰

Back to #KathleenLake just outside #KluaneNationalPark to get another view as the final light of the day faded - quiet and still water all the way out - lots more to see further north though 👍🏼 #yukon #bearcountry #syrp

#FallVibes over the #Yukon right before touchdown outside of #HainesJunction. What an amazing flight, with huge thanks to Alex at #kluaneglacierairtours. It was time to regroup and figuring out where to stay for the night before making the next long journey north. 🍁🍂🍃⛰️🛬

And then just as we were making our final approach - It got super moody looking back into #kluanenationalpark - like the gates were being closed this time around - until next time #Kluane 🙏🏼. #thatgradient #arrival #onapproach #kluaneglacierairtours #dramayukon

Late afternoon #canyon light - the gold of those trees kept lighting up as we got lower and lower in elevation 🍁. #kluanenationalpark #kluaneglacierairtours #fall

And back out of the ice fields - beautiful fall light settling into the hillsides as the gradient of colors went from deep lush greens to bright yellows 🍁 #kluanenationalpark #kluaneglacierairtours

That #GlacierLight cutting across the #LowellGlacier - the expanse is crazy - this is miles and miles of completely inhospitable terrain that hardly ever has human contact. #kluanenationalpark #kluaneglacierairtours #nature #layercake

Microscopic ice crystals / massive glacial pools. The color of that water 😯was mesmerizing leading back over the #LowellGlacier. #kluaneglacierairtours #kluanenationalpark #isthisearth

The perks of being so far north so early in the season is the super bright yellow beautiful sightings of #fall as we slowly made our way back towards #HainesJunction. Loved the #stormlight piercing through to create these pockets out of the corner of my eye that lit up the mountainsides. 👍🏼 #KluaneNationalPark #kluaneglacierairtours

Incredible how much can change in just 15 minutes time - swinging back around to pass back by the #LowellGlacier, a pretty nasty looking storm was brewing in the distance - with a quick radio chatter exchange Alex banked us just a hair to get a glimpse and wander our way back. #kluaneglacierairtours #KluaneNationalPark #thenothing

Amazing teardrop #Glacier pools far below us. It was easy to get swept up in the distant horizon ranges and not look down at these incredible massive formations. #kluaneglacierairtours #KluaneNationalPark #GlacierSlushie #CoconutFlavorGlacier
