One of our members @ej_the_yorkie is making the heartbreaking and selfless decision to send sweet EJ over the rainbow bridge. If you wanted to send something for him during this time please see her post and dm @ej_the_yorkie 🙏see her caption below: #Repost@ej_the_yorkie with @get_repost ・・・ Hi everyone. Thank you to all of the people that have reached out to me. I am so honored to have had you all be a part of our journey. We will be performing an at home euthanasia for EJ. He will be buried in the backyard where he used to love to play. I have so many wonderful memories of him romping around in the backyard playing with his ball or chasing chipmunks. He loved to harass the neighbor dogs across the pond and bark at them. He always loved to say hello. But this will be goodbye. He’s not strong enough to keep fighting and I am not selfish enough to keep him here like that. But he fought long and hard. He made the best of every bad thing that has ever happened to him. He taught me that I need to be strong and that somewhere in this world there is always love to be found. I will never forget him or the things he has taught me. ❤️ ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ If anyone would like to send EJ a memento to go with him on the other side please private message me and I will give you the address to send it to. Cards, treats, toys or anything of the sentiment. Thank you. 😢 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ #EJ#EJTheYorkie#EJTheBrave#EJTheStrong#MyLove#MyLife#MyDog#MyEverything#MyBestFriend#Sad#ILoveMyDog
🇺🇸🗽Canine Hero of #911 . 🐾James Crane worked on the 101st floor of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center ... He is blind so he has a golden retriever named Daisy. After the plane hit 20 stories below, James knew that he was doomed, so he let Daisy go, out of an act of love. She darted away into the darkened hallway. Choking on the fumes of the jet fuel and the smoke James was just waiting to die. About 30 minutes later, Daisy comes back along with James’ boss, Who Daisy just happened to pick up on floor 112 on her first run of the building, she leads James, James’ boss, and about 300 more people out of the doomed building. But she wasn’t through yet, she knew there were others who were trapped. So, highly against James’ wishes she ran back in the building. On her second run, she saved 392 lives. Again she went back in. During this run, the building collapses. James hears about this and falls on his knees into tears. Against all known odds, Daisy makes it out alive, but this time she is carried by a firefighter. “She led us right to the people, before she got injured” the fireman explained. Her final run saved another 273 lives. She suffered acute smoke inhalation, severe burns on all four paws, and a broken leg, but she saved 967 lives. Daisy is the first civilian Canine to win the Medal of Honor of New York City. . #nyc#911hero#911memorial#september112001 #weareunitedpaws#joinus#fortheloveofpets#rescueanimals#helpinganimals#unitedwestand#powerfulpups#rescue#foster#adopt#donate#educate#awareness#unitedpawsgroup#postyourpet#upgfamily#upg
