How do you Perform a Back Release?

1. Lay down on your back
2. Place the tennis ball next to your left lower back muscle
3. Roll your legs to your right and arms to your left
4. Until you feel the release
5. Repeat on the other side.

An awesome tutorial for runners🏃🏽‍♀️ (and high heels fans) :) - nine postures for both sides:
1. Low lunge - use blocks if needed
2. Runners Stretch- use blocks if needed
3. Downward Facing Dog - bend your knees alternately
4. Pyramid Pose
5. Standing Forward Bend with twist - bend your knees alternately
6. Wide-legged Forward Bend
7. Low Lunge Variation - with Papas stretch - use a strap if needed
8. Reclining cow face pose
9. Standing Split on the wall

Wonderful! 💕 What is Havan? From @aadinathyoga ~ .
Havan, which is also known as Homam, or Yagna, or Yagya, is an outer form of worship in which an altar is built, sacred fire is kindled using specific types of grass or wood; and then pouring into it oblations such as ghee or clarified butter, food, grains, sesame seeds, while chanting Mantras from the Vedas. The chanting of mantras while performing Havan is to invoke gods and seek their blessings and favours. It is also done to ensure fulfillment of specific desires and overall welfare of an individual, a group of people, the entire society, entire country, or for that matter – the entire universe.

Historical Perspective

It is believed, that during the early Vedic period, Havan was the only ritualistic worship of God and puja rituals are much later developments. The physical or the outer aspect of the Yagna was always viewed with suspicion by the followers of Gyan Marg (the path of wisdom). In Satapatha Brahmana we are told that both the gods and demons tried to derive benefits by performing the Yagna. However, the demons performed it externally while the gods while performing the Yagna also kindled the fire within them and thereby became immortal.

Practical Benefits
.
Now look at the practical benefits of performing Havans. Sweets and such other costly delicacies as well as rare perfumes are distributed for the welfare of the world through the agency of fire and wind, by performing Havans. All beings get the opportunity to inhale pure and healthy air. Every animal receives the material sacrificed in the Havan, mixed with air. This helps in the removal of diseases, and makes for increased and better health. The holy sound waves created by chanting Vedic hymns, during the Havan, spread in the sky and purify the mind. In this way, with little labour and expense, the doer of a Havan, greatly serves the entire universe.

Psychological and spiritual Benefits “Idannamama” chanted at the end of every mantra during a Havan, literally means that this is not mine; it belongs to the whole society. The heat generated during a Havan, prints a divine impression on people’s hearts.

My go-to moves to stretch the neck & shoulders in the morning 🤗 Also great for improving posture if you spend a lot of time slouched at your computer!!🙋🏼‍♀️

💆🏼‍♀️NECK ROLL: Lower the chin and roll the head side to side. Move slow & pause at any spots that feel extra tight!

🙆🏼‍♀️FORWARD + SIDE STRETCH: This feels SO good! Interlace fingers and press forward. Shoulder blades spread apart. Bring arms up & stretch side to side. Breathe in each position!

🙇🏼‍♀️CLASP HANDS SHOULDER STRETCH: Interlace fingers behind back. Lift the heart. Shoulders press down & squeeze shoulder blades together.

🙅🏼‍♀️CACTUS + EAGLE: Possibly the best shoulder stretch out there! Start in Cactus - elbows open. Cross elbows & wrap arms for Eagle. Keep elbows level with shoulders and arms press away from the face. Inhale - Lift. Exhale - lower. Repeat on both sides!

🤷🏼‍♀️SEATED TWIST: Sit tall. Bring opposite hand to knee. Twist the spine. Reach behind & gaze over the shoulder.
