I never record my morning practice. Why? Because itโ€™s my sacred space. Itโ€™s Me-time. Time to clean the house from the bottom to the top. What I record, though is the result of it. The part where I try to figure out things. The playful part. โ €
This is one of it. I had no idea how I close that foot is to the back of my head until I saw it ... and this is after a 30min #morningpractice in the hotel room. Everyone knows that we are kinda stiffer in the morning, donโ€™t we? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Iโ€™m curious now how my half scorpion pincha will look in the afternoon ๐Ÿคฉ

My practice is not spectacular at all and probably even boring ๐Ÿ˜‚. I started to breathe in a hang, followed by a down dog sequence to pump up my lungs. 5 mins of cat โ€˜n cow. If you donโ€™t have time at all do at least this ( I posted a routine a couple of weeks ago. Let me know if youโ€™re interested and I will put it into my IGTV). A sequence with planks, low lunge, side angle and pigeon. Parsvottanasana & triangle. Revolved Janu Sirsasana and my wheel routine. ๐Ÿ”˜

Obviously what moves me are not of interest for the majority and the things catching attention would make me inauthentic af. Thatโ€™d be definitely a disaster ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. Iโ€™m neither a sales person nor a bikini girl. Iโ€™m not a comedian, not an actress, no model (gosh I wish Iโ€™d be one) or a journalist. I am simply me. I love my job. When I opened my IG this morning I got a level 3 shock (level 5 is shock is a deadly shock on my scale). I joined the @Instagram yoga world exactly in December 2013 and I received my first DM with ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ† pics (yes, plural). I know lots of you get them on a daily basis but I donโ€™t consider myself as a subject (or object? ๐Ÿค”) of interest. I blocked this person but what I noticed is that I am hesitating now in allowing DM requests with pictures or videos.

I will get over it but please, please PEOPLE. Donโ€™t send photos of your genitals. I am neither interested nor do I think it is funny or pretty. I feel violated. I am a strong woman but there are souls out there who canโ€™t handle this. Please leave us alone. You are not welcomed! #moralsuasion

Got this set of #Tittibhasana at a spot called Stone Bridge near Bedford Hills. I pass this bridge every day and I never saw a car turning to or coming out of it. Today every second someone passed ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ. Had to get them quickly and Iโ€™m thankful that my camera app didnโ€™t bail on me.

Itโ€™s been a while and I wanted to say Hello to all of my new followers with this little Friday introduction. Yes, I am aware it is already Sunday but thatโ€™s one part of me I am not very proud of. I canโ€™t be on time. It truly surprises me that I never miss my planes, most of my trains or my own classes ๐Ÿ˜‚

Right now I am in the US visiting my yoga home in Bedford Hills, joining classes and workshops taught by different teachers every day to study, train and experience the esoteric material which comes along with the physical practice of Katonah Yogaยฎ๏ธ.

Yoga is more than a pose. Itโ€™s a way to live a joyful life. The physical practice should be sustainable, recharging and informing, even reforming. I want a revolution hence I need to annoy myself. If I donโ€™t annoy myself someone else will and that is going to be worse ๐Ÿ˜œ

I truly believe that every pose is available for everyone. All it needs is some creativity to modify, some props to support, and a person telling you where you can go. Personally I think there are always options #stopdiminishingyourself ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

My pics are taken by myself and my iPhone. I use the regular camera app to get a still with an app called Video2Photo. The quality is not as good as Iโ€™d like it. I hope to find a good burst mode app soon.

My pics are edited with SnapSeed or Polarr. To get rid of sockets or lines or dirty spots at my wall at home I use Touch ReTouch. My vids are edited with PerfectVideo.

For a couple of years now I am sober and a non-smoker.

A day in the city. First some yoga at @thestudio.yoga with @danielle.rosati and @abbiehgalvin ๐ŸŒˆ then walking and walking and using the subway (which feels like a sauna these days ๐Ÿง–๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜…), having lunch in the park, drinking my fav coffee โ€ฆ Trust me. A day in the city is totally the same as an 8 hour workout in the gym ๐Ÿ˜‚

grab with the top hand the top foot UNDER your body.
๐Ÿ“IMPORTANT: Move your PUBIC BONE forward first.
Only then start to BACKBEND!!! and straighten your bottom leg.
๐Ÿ“PUSH the top foot into your hand like crazy. The hand is actively holding back. This will support your backbend.
๐Ÿ“Pubic bone is moving forward even more
๐Ÿ“I prefer to look down to my hand but feel free to turn the head upwards.

A little late to the core party but I am on a mission, and I promise: I practiced every day and every drill to the fullest (I cheated a bit on day 3 ๐Ÿ™ˆ). I just hadnโ€™t had a chance to get some pics or vids done until today. I am a lazy a$$ when it comes to core drills (and I know I need it), and It was a 90-ish day. I was a sweaty mess ๐Ÿ˜‚

Somehow I hoped for a better handstand to share today. It seems that I canโ€™t get beyond that magical 20 sec with my handstands. Of course there are a few exceptions but in general I come down after exactly 20 secs ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ. Any tips & tricks to overcome that are very welcomed ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

But what I can clearly see is that I have not much form or alignment but a banana back. Guess I have to start from the scratch ๐Ÿคช.

Itโ€™s day 15 of of #hstdmin with @raymurse_yoga and itโ€™s supposed to be a 30sec hold. The one on the right is in fact a 40sec hold (I count slower at the wall). The one on the left a 30sec l-shape and when you slide you see a handstand I thought I held for 30 sec but the timer said sth else (I count faster in the room). But I keep trying. I think I gain a bit more control. โ €
