“The more the better.” This is Angelnae Randalle’s (@angel_dancer_1) stance when it comes to practice. On average, the 14-year-old, who currently lives in Michigan, rehearses 24 to 30 hours a week — and that number only goes up when a competition or convention is on the horizon. You might be surprised to learn that Angelnae started dancing just three years ago; her grandmother signed her up for her first class and passed away shortly thereafter. “She was my biggest supporter,” says Angelnae. “I think she is very proud of me.”
See what a day in Angelnae’s life is like. It’s on our Instagram story right now.

Photo: @andy_mann // Caribbean Reef Sharks and Southern Stingrays cruise the Bahamian mangrove channels at high tide as nutrient rich water brings in baitfish and invertebrates to feed on. These channels fill with often 5 different species of shark at a time throughout the day as each pay visit to the shallows for food. Sharks can breath easier in the Bahamas since the government banned all commercial shark fishing in country waters in 2011. I recently returned from an eye-opening expedition with @sea_legacy to Gardens of the Queen, Cuba learning how a healthy & pristine carribean ecosystem should function and look like. please #followme @andy_mann to see five different species of shark flood this small channel at sunset.

I’ve been quiet on Instagram the last several days because I’ve been very sick. I’m in Salta, Argentina and I came down with a very bad cold when I was in Patagonia. I was caught out in the rain while hiking on a glacier. Toss in the cold temperatures and high winds and viola!……sick.

I’m attending the Adventure Travel World Summit here in Salta and when not at the event, I’ve spent almost all my time in my hotel room sleeping and trying to recover.

End result? Not a lot of activity on Instagram.

I’m feeling much better now, however. Still have a bit of a cough, but other than that, the major symptoms are gone.

I’m here in Salta for 3 more nights and then I head back to US. I’ll be home in Minneapolis for 6 days before I head to Portland, Oregon for another conference. After that I head to London for what I hope will be my last big conference of the year. If you are in Portland or London, let me know if you’d like to meet up.

Nothing like hiking the Swiss alps in the middle of the night and getting lost for 4hrs w/ iPhone flashlights to lead the way and still managing to end up here 5 min before sunrise 🌄 Thanks to my brother @linomeoli for following me on this amazing Swiss adventure, wouldn't have been the same without you fam. Tip: If you plan to hike from Zermatt to Stellisee for sunrise do not follow the google maps🚶🏽directions!!! Prob a bad idea for any hike 😅

Hydra by night. A perfect long weekend getaway. In mid-September, the heat backs off and the water is still warm. A long trek or two gives good coverage of the island. Food is excellent, especially if fish and seafood are your thing and you don't mind feta, local cheeses, and Greek wine. Throw in an afternoon boat ride along the southwestern shore, a few dips in the Gulf of Hydra, some late afternoon strolls and a lie-in or two and you'll have the makings for a perfect shoulder/mid-season break.
