When your girl has mad interrogation skills. Link to full video with @simszter in my bio. I hope everyone knows I'm just acting here and would NEVER do any of the things I confessed to . (Especially standing and making a mess in the bathroom. That's an offense that'll get you banned from any Pueblo household ♂️)
Part II of Barbershop Brawl. LINK TO FULL VIDEO IN BIO. Directing these fight scenes is great practice for when I make a big Hollywood film and they're a fun puzzle to assemble. Score by @scottdw@splack & @iamkiing were brilliant in front of camera for the 6 hours we took to shoot it. They had to really push themselves physically, because that's not enough time to film something like this. Then I went off and worked on post for this one for 4 weeks, getting the edit, sound design, and color just right.
Simmi wanted to make a fight scene where she got beat up just as much as she delivered a beating. I think @iamkiing and I helped make her wish come true. They were both amazing and let's just say Simmi really dug deep and pushed herself to the depths of her physical limits. I'm proud of her and I think this came out really cool. Huge shout out to @scottdw for a killer soundtrack on this one ✊️. And shout out to @bradrlambert for helping me put this shoot together last second and @misterjermalee for helping on set. Coming soon. I like to do title sequences because then these little skits feel a little more like real movies, haha. This one comes out Saturday. Ft. @splack & @iamkiing Score by @scottdw. I'm grateful and lucky to do what I love. When people ask me what I'm doing today for my birthday I've been able to tell them I'm doing what I do EVERY day. I'm working. And working out. It's my favorite.
A year ago today I released my first fight scene with @jadebug98 & @iisuperwomanii. I've written 57 pages for the web series or feature film (whichever it turns out to be ♂️). I know a lot people are anxious for me to make the next part, but I want it to be right. I want it to be good. I have to rejigger one of the major plot lines, because the characters' motivations and obstacles weren't compelling enough. But I'm working on it. And when it's ready to film, it'll be good. I hope, haha. Thanks for everyone's patience and support. And a huge thanks to Lilly and Jade and all the talented stunt performers and everyone behind the camera for making this first part good enough that people are excited to see the rest.
When people won't stop touching your stuff. New scene with @simszter & @caitlindechelle on Simmi's YouTube channel. Music by @ScottDW Caitlin works with Jackie Chan, so it's almost like I've worked with Jackie Chan ♂️
When you can't agree which route to take. Throwback to the first project I finished with @kingbach for his channel. I love how seriously he and @grahambamthankyoumam played this scene Find out what happens on Bach's YouTube channel.
Happy birthday to the savage elbow thrower @lianev! Little BTS preview of the scene coming out at the of the week on my YouTube channel. I knew @kingsamjonesiii was fine because he's made out of solid muscle.
Part 1 Favorite scene in the #spiderman parody I made with @kingbach. Bach wrote a funny script, and then he got talented actor friends @msjennawillis and Chris Wylde to improv with him and make it even more funny. I almost busted out laughing behind the camera when Jenna moaned and Chris said "Oh!" And still after seeing it scores of times during the editing/sound design/coloring process I still laugh every time. Mad respect to the performers. I love all the subtle things they do to make this scene perfection (Jenna's look before she turns around, Bach's quiet "Um, okay" & upper lip smile in response, and Chris's manic aggression bubbling up through his "hip dad" exterior)
Part 2 I like it when jokes take left turns into complete absurdity. @kingbach's #Spiderman parody takes a huge left turn into an entirely different movie. It's a pretty funny move. And while I helped massage the edit on many of the scenes, this was one scene that Bach knocked out of the park on his first pass Link to the full skit in his bio
If you've known me for more than 5 minutes, you know I want to be directing big action movies. I learned a ton working with @stevebrownwrestler and @garrettxwarren (the guys behind Logan's killer action scenes). Props to @yoshistunts for killing it as @kingbach's double in his new #spiderman parody. We'll have to do it again when we can spend longer than 2 hours on the fight scene
Some girls just want to dress up as pretty princesses. I've never seen anyone get so excited about being turned into a monster. The idea for her last video of GoT week came to @iisuperwomanii while she was sitting in her makeup chair getting transformed. Lilly got such a kick out of seeing herself mouth the words and dancing like a girl, she added one more video shoot to her already packed schedule even though she was exhausted. And I was right there saying "Yeah, let's keep going! One more scenario on your list. And another." We're crazy. Crazy lucky to play pretend for a profession.
Happy belated birthday to my beautiful bearded bro, @humblethepoet. This is the sexiest footage I have of him from the music video I directed a while back in India. His new work, Righteous/Ratchet is dope. Find it in his bio. Thank me later. Humble's going to be doing big things this year, you don't want to get left behind.
I'm always inspired by Lilly's creative drive & determination. She has a proven history of manifesting the impossible on minuscule budgets. When Lilly handed me the script for this skit and was referencing clips from GoT, my response was "this is funny, but I can't make this look like the show. We have $50 costumes, a single day of filming, and we're shooting on an 80d with kit lenses." She was undeterred in her confidence in her vision. I've got to hand it to her, even though it doesn't look like the show, it totally works, and the concept is even more funny because of the $50 costumes. And a huge shout out to her production and post team that pulls together all the props last second and turns around the post effects on a break neck schedule. ✊️ She's doing a whole week of GoT themed videos. It'll be fun.
