Sheccid Flores is 17 years old, and she has lived in Arizona her whole life. She's never been out of the country and has only visited Nevada, California, and most recently Louisiana, thanks to FBLA. Because of this, Sheccid looks forward to being able to travel in the future. She would someday like to visit every state in the US and hopefully travel out of the country to visit places like Mexico, Spain, Greece, ect. She feels fortunate to have an organization like FBLA, where she is able to experience new things and go to different places! #stateofficersunday
Lana Mohamed is 17 years old and is very passionate about music. She loves mainstream and country, but also has no problem jamming out to some old 60/70/80's tunes. Her all time favorite conference is the Leadership Camp held in September. She loves ketchup but can't stand tomatoes. Fun facts: shes been to 60% of the Middle East and used to collect Cheez-It boxes up until Sophomore year as some crazy news would come up every time she bought one (sister getting married, moving to Dubai, moving back to the U.S.)#stateofficersunday

When I first encountered Ramon Chavez he was networking with a group of FBLA members from the St. David Chapter. At the FLEX conference it was evident that his encouraging leadership lifted surrounding members. I respect his willingness to ask challenging questions that clearly express his quest for knowledge. The positive energy and curiosity of Ramon exhibits the qualities of a dedicated FBLA member. This Kingman High School student is a prime example of a Future Business Leader!
This is Kevin Van and he is a junior at Tolleson High School. I met Kevin at a couple workshops that were focussed how a member can get the best out of their FBLA experience and help their chapter as well. In these workshops I've noticed the type of attention Kevin had by asking the great questions and taking notes. Whenever there was a need for a volunteer, Kevin made sure to put himself out there. He never missed a moment to lighten the mood and make the entire room laugh, network with members from other schools and organizations, as well as bring positive energy to the room. Great job Kevin for showing your FBLA pride at the Fall Leadership Extravaganza and thank you for FLEXing your leadership muscles!
Keanu Washington is a member of La Joya Community High School FBLA. I first met Keanu at my chapter visit to La Joya. He was very attentive and asked many questions during the presentation, always with a mind and focus on gathering information and helping others. He displayed countless leadership skills and traits, and continued to do so when I saw him again at the FLEX Conference. He is the recipient of this BBM pin for his constant quest for knowledge and growth as a leader in FBLA!
Veliuzka Emerson is an amazing leader from Lee Williams High School. She works tirelessly for the improvement of her chapter, as shown in the beautiful and professional polo shirts she designed for them. She was also very engaged in the FBLA BAA’s and CSA’s workshop at FLEX and already has quite a bit of experience working on her BAA’s. She is an example of leadership and it is clear that her actions are Building Better Members every day!
Brendon Nuttall is a Junior at Thatcher High School. He's an active member and works hard in order to make sure that his chapter's great. He not only makes a difference within his chapter, but he's made an impact with other members as well. His positive attitude and leadership qualities were easily noticeable at this year's FLEX Conference. I'm honored to have the opportunity to meet members like Brendon, and I can't wait to see him continue his FBLA journey!
Tenille Updike is a member of the Blue Ridge High School Chapter, and it was such a pleasure to speak with her at this conference. She told me about what she learned from the workshops she attended, and of her determination to run for state office. She is truly an example to me of what an inspired and hard-working FBLA member should be. Not only is she a wonderful member, but a joy to be around. She certainly is building better membership as she devotes her time to FBLA. Thank you for all you do Tenille!
Meet crystal Benjamin she is a budding leader from Vail Academy and High School. I chose Crystal as my BBM because she showed true engagement in the FLEX workshops by asking questions and paying attention. Not only that but she was also a super positive and inviting person to be around! Thank you so much Crystal for being an amazing leader and reflecting those qualities to those around you!
Rico Garcia is a member from Thatcher high school that has displayed all the qualities necessary to be one of the best members in our state. Rico was attentive and inquisitive during FLEX workshops, displaying a passion for FBLA and a yearning for education. Thank you Rico for truly being one of FBLA's elite members!
“Marissa Lara, a sophomore from Tucson High School, came up to me at the Fall Leadership Extravaganza asking to take a picture for a scavenger hunt that her chapter officer team came up with. I thought “wow what a great idea to have a conference scavenger hunt to keep the members involved” and I decided to get to know a little bit more about her. Being only a sophomore, Marissa is already an officer for her chapter in charge of community service. Not only is she involved with FBLA but she is involved with track & field as well. She also enjoys drawing and playing instruments, so overall Marissa is a well-rounded student. She hopes to gain a lot of experience from FBLA and to build her confidence and public speaking skills. Congratulations to one of the 10 BBM winners, Marissa Lara”-Brenden
Maya Mendez from Poston Butte is an outstanding member and leader. During FLEX she showed extreme enthusiasm during the workshops and actively participated. Thank you Maya for your nonstop dedication and thank you for being apart of the FBLA Arizona family! #BuildingBetterMembers
