A couple days before I left for my trip, I got a text message from one of my oldest friends. She’d gotten my number from another friend of ours and wanted to catch up. I said - crazy enough I’m headed to the northwest this weekend— and it just so happened I would be near her. She drove an hour last night just so we could sit and talk in person for two hours before turning around and driving home. Three things I took away from this.
1. All of my life I have been blessed with the most quality friends a girl could ask for. Not sure why, but I am extremely grateful.
2. God delights in blessing us. I don’t at all find it coincidence that she contacted me two days before I would be near her. Such a little gesture to remind us He’s involved and invested in our lives.
3. Make the effort to reconnect with old friends. It’s so worth it. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me that she would drive to the middle of nowhere late at night just to see me.
