re: Support Better Brands If you’re going to give brands your support through purchasing their products, read labels carefully. Look for beauty and cleaning products brands that are responsible in their production by looking for responsible brand seals.
Did you know that even without fossil fuels, we will exceed our 565 gigatonnes CO2E limit by 2030, all from raising animals? (Minneapolis, MN: Langdon Street, 2013)

@lyft rides are now carbon-neutral through the direct funding of emission mitigation efforts including the reduction of emissions in the manufacturing process, renewable energy programs, forestry projects, and the capture of emissions from landfills. ⠀
3Degrees oversees the independent verification of all projects according to rigorous third-party standards, as well as ensures that Lyft is only supporting emissions reductions that are new and would not have happened but for Lyft's investment. All projects are based in the US.⠀
Monica Frassoni, President of the European Alliance to Save Energy, says that full support for energy efficiency from EU politicians will give companies the confidence to invest in projects that will benefit the economy, the environment and society at large.

When I sat in my car that was standing under the sun, I felt I could boil an egg on the steering wheel. It was so hot that I could not touch it, let alone drive!! Do you go through the same situation in your car?? Well then try out Elegant steering wheel covers. They are ideal for Indian summers. They fabric patches placed on the wheel that does not heat up, making driving easier without burning hands!
We are not just a bottled water company, and each location that sells our Better Bottles is not just a retailer. We are a vehicle for change and they are a Better Collection Partner. Each place that you can get one of our bottles from, you can also return it back to. This puts the power in your hands. If you return your used (and reused) Bottles back to one of our BCP locations, you have chosen for that bottle to be waste free. We can then ensure that bottle will make it to the correct facility, keeping it in a circular economy #planetorplastic

Fresh views to start the week
I had a very pleasant chinwag with my mate Pete down south the other day between surfs in glorious 6ft / 20sec walls (yep, it was a day for the books, hopefully you scored too!)
Pete’s a bloody lovely bloke and a particular inspiration of mine to live more sustainably. I have great respect for his no-bullshit, pragmatist attitude towards climate change and general thirst for positivity in life, so it was a really enjoyable opportunity to clamber aboard big suse for a yarn.

Feeling in need of an unplanned journey to refresh my mind. To be in and with nature again. To connect back to our purest roots and feel grounded. Being in nature and realising the changes it creates to you when you're there is the purest form of a meditative state for me

As Crystal Lameman of the Beaver Lake Cree said, “If you breath the air, if you drink the water this fight is about you.” #stopKM
Styrofoam is non-biodegradable.
This, combined with the fact that Styrofoam floats, means that large amounts of polystyrene have accumulated along coastlines and waterways around the world.
It can be recycled, but the market for recycled Styrofoam is diminishing.
Styrofoam is made from petroleum, which is a non-sustainable resource, the production of which creates heavy pollution and accelerates climate change.
Compostable food service packaging is very trendy right now as an “ecologically correct” option and they’re able to break down into soil-enriching compost.

Show Up firstly, for yourself. For your body, your mind and spirit. Nurture yourself, learn to say no to what does not serve you. Make more space for the people and things that light your soul on fire. Sit in silence, breathe fresh air and don’t forget to give your body what it needs to thrive. .
Show Up for others. Because once you’ve shown up for yourself you have so much more to offer. Listen, without agenda. Love fearlessly. Offer yourself to your community and you’ll never feel alone again. .
Show Up for the greater picture. Because we are all a sum of the whole. Listen to nature and be her voice. Witness your privilege and meditate on what you have to offer. Herein lies deep purpose, joy and a connection to higher self.
What sort of FUTURE are we creating??
PLANET OR PLASTIC?
An initiative by #natgeo to raise awareness about the global plastic trash crisis.
After seeing the current situation being an artist I have made this haunting art of plastic pollution signifies the same.
This is a huge problem which in turn affects marine life and consequently humans as well.
TAKE YOUR PLEDGE: with the simple things you can do to prevent plastic waste.
If you need any more of a reminder why we need to start taking accountability for our plastic waste, head over to the @natgeo page to see their #planetorplastic exposé
"If all we do is clean up, then that is all we will ever do." - @tangaroablue One Hermitudette was lucky enough to attend a free workshop run by "Clean Oceans Collective - caring for Mirteetch". We can work together to protect our marine environment by reducing our plastic consumption. Over the next week the Hermitudettes will share ten simple changes we can make to cut down our plastic waste. #marinedebris#nonurdles#change#tangaroablue#caringformirteetch#educateyourself
