On average we spend 5 hours a day on our phones… That’s almost 2,000 hours a year. Imagine if we took even half of that and spent it on podcasts, informative YouTube videos, inspiring stories, and dream building instead of playing games getting sucked away into the ever-intoxicating digital realm.
Two years ago I had more gaming apps on my phone than all the other apps I had combined. It didn’t seem like a big deal, I just wanted something to pass the time when I was bored. Fun fact…people who live intentionally are never bored. As I started working closely with my mentor and learning how to invest in myself and grow to be the person I was meant to be, “bored time” suddenly became a thing of the past. I found myself using my phone to keep myself organized instead of using it to pass the time. I’ve learned to live and die by my calendar. My unanswered text messages, e-mails, and voicemails are no longer in the hundreds, if not thousands…in fact all my messages are either answered or discarded promptly within only a matter of a few hours. Ultimately, my phone has become a tool, no longer a toy. •
Life is too short to get sucked into the digital realm. Get your wins in the real world. You will thank yourself, your family will thank you, your posterity will thank you. Be Significant…
