But anyway, here are some books I recommend:
Maxwell Maltz - Psychocybernetics
I really enjoyed reading this when I was in Mexico. Maltz offers an insight into your success mechanism and how effective imagination is. A lot of the quotes on my page are from this book.
Dan Millman - No Ordinary Moments
Had me hooked from page 1. Dan Millman gives a very clear and interesting view on how the body and mind works. I particularly liked the part of the three selves: Your Basic Self, Conscious Self and Higher Self.
Byron Katie - Loving What Is
When I did my Triggerpoint Reset Methode training last year, in preparation I had to listen to this audio book. In this book Katie created a way to cope with negative thinking. It is super simple but very effective. I often ask my friends or clients the second question when they have a negative thought: "Can you absolutely know that it's true?". I recommend you to listen to the audio book. It is very interesting to hear the dialogues Byron has with her clients.
Nick Ortner - The Tapping Solution
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) also known as tapping, is a very effective and quick way to relieve stress, overcome anxiety or even physical pain. It addresses symptoms, emotions, events and limiting beliefs that you built up over the years. With this technique you can clean it up. If you don't read, go watch the documentary with the same name.
Barbara Temelie - Voeding volgens de Vijf Elementen (Dutch)
This book is about the thousands of years wisdom from Traditional Chinese Medicine. It explains very logically what effect food has AFTER you ate it, instead of counting calories before you eat it, like Western culture does. This makes you consciously check how you feel after each meal. I like the statement to eat what the earth provides you on the time of year in your country. That means no oranges in winter. An English alternative is probably "Your Guide to Health with Foods & Herbs" by Zhang Yifang. I did not read this book, but judging the reviews it covers the same theory.
