What I love the most about doing research in human-robot interaction design is its multidisciplinary nature. Tech needs cross pollination from the arts, the humanities, theatre, design, psychology, literature, biology. The most inspiring work in the field - imo- comes from researchers brave enough to embrace a multitude of disciplines and distill them in surprising tech. I had the chance to travel and work with researchers and designers coming from different cultures, backgrounds and disciplines. It is extremely enriching, I learn so much. I feel like all the colleagues I have met in the past and present contribute to lift me UP and get inspiration and new knowledge. Thanks! — in the pic today’s new floaty, uplifting friends.
