#FanFriday is back, this time with an awesome post!
BMH: “My man, I can just feel that your music comes from your soul”
@jasonrossofficial : “It really does, thank you.”
BMH: “We both know that this comes from something bigger. Perhaps... a Higher Love?”
*laughter and selfie*
(Higher Love is the name of one of Jason Ross’s most popular tracks for the unaware)
I’m not sure what I’m happier about. The fact that I got to thank my favourite producer/artist in-person, or that I came up with that one-liner . But despite getting the chance to show some appreciation, walking away it dawned on me that I could never fully express how I feel about the music this dude produces. It’s crazy to think that the artist himself couldn’t possibly understand the places his art has taken me, and I’m sure many others. Jason, if you’re reading this man, keep being what you are. A channel for life and love to come through you, in the form of the art that you create. (P.S. my girlfriend’s been requesting that I book you for our future wedding. DM me your rates)
I haven’t really spoken to art and music in my content, and this is partally because I know I could never fully encapsulate what I wish I could express, with words. Here’s a small attempt though; I see art as perhaps the most meaningless and meaningful thing in our experience, both at the same time. It is the wonder of life moving through the channel of a Being into creation. It is beauty, expansion, and the magic of nothing into something. And in each piece of art, unique meaning is imbued - one that goes beyond logic and thought. Art pushes the boundaries of what is, and in doing so, gives us the opportunity to experience life in new ways, feel emotions that don’t need to make sense, and to remember that this is ALL FOR US. Don’t take life to seriously, because all this really is, is art.
