I love teaching yoga! I've taught toddlers to 80-somethings. I teach in gyms, on fields, in conference rooms, at schools, in my home and at studios. I love a good playlist as a back drop, rock-n-roll, rap/hip hop, electronic, jazz, R&B, Reggae, Hawaiian - even heavy metal @rowgerrr - nothing is off limits to me!!! I've been so fortunate to learn from the most amazing teachers from Hawaii to New York in the past 15 years, each one of them has influenced my practice and teachings in an amazing way! It's been my greatest joy to share yoga with anyone that will try it.
I really enjoy teaching to athletes of any age. I've always been a sports fanatic, the strategy and mental toughness required to be at the top of your game mesmerize me. This pose is a staple in most of my classes, particularly those for athletes. Virasana or Heroes pose with your toes tucked gets deep into the tissues of the toes and feet, which nearly all sports require some agility and footwork. @gwenlawrence has helped me take my life long love of sports + yoga and elevate my teaching! (I've added a splash of Somatics and some rock and roll!) @centeredinstillness challenged me on International Yoga day to share about my teaching, and I'm a little bit tardy. I'm Kim, a yoga teacher in Ventura County working with athletes and others to be the best at whatever their game is!
