You all voted a big fat HELL YEAH to me sharing my top 3 anxiety life savers.
When I decided to do this all medicine free I had to fully instill the belief that if my mind could cause it, my mind could cause the opposite to happen too, it was only a matter of finding the most effective ways to put my mind in a place that neurologically contrasted that of anxiety.
I tried every trick & found a ton of effective methods but these are my most effective go-tos in that moment of panic.

#1 : Sensory grounding technique:
In INTRICATE detail list 5 things you can see, one at a time, really observing (focus on patterns and shades of colour rather than objects), then 4 things you can physically feel (in detail, ie how the inside of your clothes feel on your skin or the place the sun feels hottest on you), then 3 things you can hear (a good 20-30 second on each sound), 2 things you can smell & 1 thing you can taste.
The beautiful simplicity of it lies in capturing your focus to the present moment.
#2: what if statements
This is one that really works for a type A, planner, anxiety brought about by generalizing & realism.
In the state of our anxiety our minds are doing something along the lines of "what if it doesn't work out, what if I fail, what if I get hurt, what if I can't" so the trick is just about changing your what if statements, take out a note book, force a smile and start writing "what if it works out. What if I am okay. What if my it's all part of a beautiful plan. What if I can. What if I do."
Simply breaks your pattern and alters your state, the way you are processing information in a way that directly influences your subconscious mind. & tip #3 my absolute favourite, this last one has worked more effectively than pills ever did.
