#tbt to this gem from 2013. At this time five years ago, I was six months into living in NYC. Over the course of one month, I tried six jobs. I waited tables for a month, then quit, then came back for a day, then quit again. I auditioned for theatre. I (enrolled) to get my real estate license and bought the textbook. I was a shoe salesperson for three weeks. I interned at a talent agency. I started a job managing a cupcake store. And apparently I tried modeling for a day. I should probably wrap this up in a nice bow to say “it gets better,” which it does, I guess. But sometimes life is just messy, and if you know you’re at least in the right place, trying to find the right path, you’ll eventually get to where you’re supposed to be. Now I’m still on my path trying to get to my destination, but sometimes it’s nice to look back and realize how far you’ve come.
