I'm not usually one to post anything too big or too long. But with everything I've heard in the news on suicide, to the loss of people in my life, and to my own struggles I wanted to share this.
It's OK not to be OK.
It's such a small saying, but with a massive meaning, and it's true.
From my own point of view, stress and anxiety means some times I'm not feeling 100%, I let the pressure of life and expectation take a hold, worry sets in on thoughts that I can understand in a logical way; and yet emotion overrides thoughts and creates a reality that doesn't exist yet I seem to be apart... one of negativity, hopelessness and even debilitation.
Help and support doesn't always mean seeing your GP for tablets, it can even be a kind gesture from a friend who likes to send a ton of memes your way to make you laugh, or even learning new ways to process and manage thoughts and feelings in a positive way.
You can always talk to someone you trust, ring the Samaritans, meditate, try something new like a hobby, spend more time with loved ones, yoga, breathing and relaxation techniques, you can even try an app like headapace to help calm your thoughts.
Whatever you do, whatever your going through, it never has to mean the end. There's always help, and contrary to what you might think, your never alone.
