i know i’m a little late for the mother’s day posts but i kinda wanna make this post less about us mamas and more about our kiddos.
i feel like every time we go out in public humans pass judgement on nuri’s hair (making comments about the length, assuming he’s a girl, etc) either people really love it or they really hate it but they almost always make their opinions known, verbally or otherwise.. listen y’all, his hair is long because he didn’t want a hair cut ♀️ he liked it long. and i do too. we’re gonna cut it soon because he’s starting to welcome the idea of a hair cut. and however he wants to cut it, i’ll like it that way too.
people forget more and more each and every day how important it is to let kids be kids. if a little boy has long hair, so be it. a little girl has short hair, so be it. little boy wants a my little pony toy, ok. little girl wants hot wheels, alright. they’re just kids dude. let them like what they like. people are so critical of every little thing can’t we just let our children grow and prosper and be creative. as long as you teach your children to be good, everything should be ok.
