Along the way, I've encountered a number of people who #fear #flying. A flight with turbulence in the 80s is etched into their memory or the #news about violent interactions with flight crews have landed them on the "Do Not Fly" List.
For years, #music legend Aretha Franklin missed out on significant international opportunities due to her stance on flying. During Ms. Franklin's earlier career, a number of artists died in plane crashes. Factor that into her own bad weather-related experiences and it was only until later in her #career that she considered flying again. Not only have technology and aviation standards improved, but also her #mindset shifted!
Whether it be the act of flying or opening yourself up to something that requires you to take a :risk and trust a process beyond yourself, consider today what's hindering you from getting to a desired destination.
Are you afraid to try something today because of a negative experience you had 5, 10, 20 or 40 years ago?
Are you grounded contemplating all the "what ifs" that all sound catastrophic?
Are you basing the possibility of your future experience on the past others have reported on? "My friend once took a flight and they lost her bag; they might lose my bag!" As a frequent flyer, I understand there are risks involved. I also recognize that I have a greater risk of death driving my on one of the back roads in my rural community! I've encountered turbulence, rude flight crews, prayed I wouldn't get arrested in Belgium when I chuckled at the racist gate agent, and had to speak in tongues through a few landings. However, none of those experiences have convinced me to never fly again.
It's not all about airplanes, beloved, but what is "grounding you" or has created the fear of pursuing your best #life?
I #pray today that as we enter this new season in the natural , you will reconsider your stance on "flying." I know "ground transportation" and watching from the station or terminal have been comfortable, but the world needs you sooner rather than later! The is waiting on you!
