They say you meet who you are, wherever you go. That the people you magically gravitate towards, reflect a like vibration back to you. And so, when I met this beautiful woman, at what had become my office in Urubamba, The Sacred Valley, Perú, a tiny cute spot called Mi Frutal; I didn't quite know what the Great Spirit had in store for our connection, but I knew to say hello.
Well, my master plant dieta revealed wounds that so far I've only shared with my dear friend Chris who made the trip possible, and this absolute angel right here, Megan Youngmee. The details of which, I will not publicly share. Social media does not get to see that wound. I left my dieta empowered but a little strange, as the wounding that happens in the western world is to a degree so foreign to the natives who serve the medicine at times, they just look at you shocked when you communicate it. There is something that gets "lost in translation" and the integration sufferers because of it.
When I tell people what happened in my life, I have become used to the shocked face. Though, with Megan Yougmee there was no shocked face, just compassion, understanding, conversation, ice cream, and my tears.
It was so simple you know, do you want to know the magic words of hers that opened the wellspring of my heart (a paraphrase) "Kevon, I see your pain and I acknowledge it, no one deserved to go through something like that." And I sat there speechless, and I tried to search my memory of someone saying that to me before, and there was not a single one, so I just, you know, cried.
You might read that, and not understand the impact of it. But so much of the horror that happens to people like me, is because people think we deserve it, and stand idly by watching disastrous things unfold as the punishment they think we should get, for simply being who we are.
See you soon my friend from the stars, see you soon. Forever will you have a place in the Sacred Valley of my Heart.
