Things have been really rough lately. Literally one punch after another. My personal life has suffered a setback. My country is going to hell. My heart is so fragile these days that a good day means I didn't cry. ROUGH. But there are days like today that I'm still able to count blessings. I'm so unbelievably grateful for this little guy right here. He's been the best company & emotional support I could have asked for. And today, he was glued to me because of the bad weather. There was some serious cuddling happening in my living room & he for once did not bolt when I got out the camera. I love you, #Alfiethemutt & I'm so happy I get to be your mom.
Other things I'm grateful for::
- #PaulSimon & his incredible music
- how my creative life has begun to blossom in a satisfying way
- my kick-ass friends - pizza
- my dad
- saxaphone solos
- animals, all of 'em
- the ability to feel
- the stregth to walk through the storm #gratefulpost#grateful#dogmom#furkid#dogsofinstagram#muttsofinstagram#emotionalsupport#ilovemydog#cuddles#roughpatch#mood#thunderbuddy#blessing#emotionalpost#instadog#instagrateful
Patient Name: Sir Hooty
Age: 8 years
Symptoms: Extruding stuffing, lacerations, broken and matted wing feathers
Diagnosis: Injury from protecting his child from thunderstorms
Sir Hooty first was adopted by his child in 2011 followed a new found fear of thunderstorms. He served valiantly, wrapping his wings tightly around his child while singing sweet songs to drown out the crashes of thunder just outside the window. Unfortunately, throughout the years the battles have weakened him and he’s grown very sick. He’s slated to have surgery first thing in the morning to make him a strong warrior once more. Get better soon, Sir Hooty!
