Hola lindo y #healthy #jueves 🙌🏻 Hoy comienza oficialmente el verano y nada mejor para comenzarlo que una rebanada de Sandía 🍉 con un poco de chocolate 85% Cacao, semillas de Hemp y Goji Berries !!!
Ayer concluí con mi reto de 21 días de #Detoxdeazúcar y me siento increíble, con mucha energía, ligera, sin dolores de cabeza y lo mejor sin ansiedad de comer algo Dulce a cada rato y en todas mis comidas 🙌🏻 Los primeros 2 días fueron muy difíciles me sentí mal, tenía dolor de cabeza y mucho cansancio, esto fue por la abstinencia que provoca dejar el azúcar y en mi caso no es que fuera azúcar procesada que hace mucho no consumo, sino azúcar de las frutas, miel de abeja, miel maple, azúcar de Coco, piloncillo y muchos edulcorantes como Stevia para mis Pancakes (es lo único que extraño) y si bien son saludables se deben consumir con MUCHA moderación y bueno yo poniéndoles la etiqueta de saludables ya estaba abusando y este reto me ayudó mucho a controlar sobretodo mi mente y paladar que ya no era feliz sin algo Dulce, literal me sentía triste si en la comida no probaba algo Dulce aunque fuera en la limonada 😱 Me fue tan bien que voy a continuar con el reto pero en una segunda fase, serán igual 21 días pero ahora integrando estratégicamente algunos alimentos Dulces los cuales estarán conformados solamente por frutas, ya les iré contando. Pero primer reto cumplido 🙅🏻‍♀️ No cabe duda si realmente quieres PUEDES!!!

It is OK to feel fluffy as the day goes on, as we are consuming more fluid 🥤 and food 🥪 It is SOOOO common. This is not me losing progress after a “cheat” meal, DO NOT STRESS. Whether it’s too much dessert or eating too fast. Stay calm. In some cases, stress hormones can make your bloating worse and speeding up your digestion which can make it worse 💩

Something I have always struggled with is eating fast. It’s a work in progress. It won’t change overnight, I can accept that. But how can I expect my digestive tract to cope when I’m shoving food so quickly down my gullet?! Take time to chew your food and enjoy it!

Back from holiday and back on it! I still stayed active on my hols with paddleboarding (my new favorite thing 😝) yoga and some fitness classes. But I left my fitbit at home and ate and drank whatever I wanted!! I return recharged and ready for new goals..

#KNOWYOURFOOD: WHICH HAS MORE SUGAR: A green tea frappuchino or a can of Coca Cola? Y'all... the green tea frappuchino has 26 MORE GRAMS OF SUGAR than a can of coke!!! How many of you would think twice about having a can of coke for breakfast? I'm guessing a fair bit of you. What about how many of you think that a green tea frappuchino can't be *THAT* bad for you... especially since it has green tea in it, which is a powerful antioxidant, right?? Me! Don't let 'buzzwords' or 'superfoods' trick you into thinking that something is healthy. Not even to mention that all of those drinks (besides black coffee) have more added sugars than two Reeses peanut butter cups! WHUT.
If you're like me, you tend not to think too much about what is in drinks. Liquid calories/things don't count, right??! But after just taking a quick look at the Starbucks nutrition info, I was FLABBERGASTED. It's INSANE how much sugar is in all of those drinks, especially when you remember that the World Health Organization recommends limiting added sugar intake to only 25G.
Now for some, the thought of drinking just straight black coffee is enough to make you projectile vomit from disgust. Don't worry, I used to be the same way! Start out with as little milk + added sugar/honey as you can manage. Then every week, try to reduce it by a teaspoon. Eventually, you'll get used to the taste and start to appreciate the coffee for the bean, not the added sugars!

Serving up breakfast 🍳 as promised! I’m 40 so fuel ⛽️ is super important to keep this gal moving 😂 Scroll over to see my go to breakfast that keeps me full for 4 to 5 hours with balanced energy until lunch time #macros included🤩. Breakfast: 2 hash browns (i avoid grains in the morning as it disrupts satiety and glucose throughout the day. But you still need carbs, so potatoes 🥔 are a perfect choice as they also contain Vitamin C which helps to disrupt the development of nitrosamines from the 🥓 bacon). 2 slices bacon 🥓, 1 slice Colby Monterey Jack cheese 🧀 , 2 brown organic vegetarian 🌱 fed eggs plus one egg white 🥚. When selecting eggs, you know u have a good brand if the yolk is orange (higher in Omega 3s and means the hen was fed a higher quality diet). I like Nellie’s eggs. #breakfast and lunch should be your bigger meals of the day. What u put in your mouth in the AM along with the combination of it all sets the tone for the entire day. Breakfast should include carbs, protein, and fat and if you exclude a macro u will need to eat your next meal too quickly. Less than a 400 calorie breakfast is starvation zone and you will need to eat 2 hours later and mess up the entire day’s worth of satiety and energy and digestion. If you have to eat every 2 hours that means you are not doing it right, u need more fat with your meals and at least 15 g carbs, more calories. Also it can mean you need more calcium with meals and your brain may actually be confusing gastritis (stomach inflammation) for hunger as the stomach empties into the duodenum (small bowel). Back in the day, when society was smaller in size, hash browns or grits were the preferred carb at breakfast. Grains were at lunch. Then potatoes again were the carb at dinner. Then snack was cake, pie, cheesecake, or ice cream. It was a 4 meal day because of the fat (always avoid low fat foods). Have to share my favourite meal of my Portugal trip 😍 (before I head off to Spain tomorrow...✌️) - one of the most beautiful settings for a meal with some of the tastiest prawns I’ve ever had. 1) amuse bouche of Parma ham and melon 2) prawns with mushrooms 3) curry prawn with sultana rice (best curry sauce I’ve ever had, easily) - all in all I’ve been extremely well fed this holiday 😂

Meal times are gonna get a bit repetitive now it's only 6 weeks out from my target bikini body date. Greens and proteins all the way! Poached eggs, asparagus and black coffee for breakfast, then Cajun turkey and green beans for lunch. Drinking lots of water and green tea. My happiness comes in the form of my flavoured protein - flavour of choice, always good old vanilla!!!

Will have some rump steak for dinner with garlic and spinach and roasted peppers which is also a favourite meal of mine! 🍽️😋

Hier noch mein Abendessen von gestern. Wenn ihr rüber wischt dann seht ihr auch die Werte. Es war mit 802 Kalorien nicht gerade das leichteste Abendessen, aber ich habe gestern so viel Kalorien über den Tag verlaufen und nicht wirklich viel gegessen. Deswegen konnte ich mir das abends gönnen. Ich muss wirklich sagen die Nudeln waren der absolute Hammer. Handgemachte Ravioli sind natürlich schon etwas anderes und ein Hoch auf die leichten Hollandaise Soßen die es jetzt gibt. Dazu noch ein bisschen Parmesan und das Essen war perfekt.

I love the mentality that exercise should be a celebration of all your body can do, not a punishment for something you are or a chore to be endured. I am so thankful for my body & the ability to exercise in the first place....GRATITUDE is a powerful motivator.🖤


On that note: Everyday I strive to better myself in my fitness journey & continue to push myself where I want to get my body to. I eat clean 80% of the time & the other 20% I have my “treats” which mostly consist of chocolate & champagne💁🏻‍♀️ lol but the BEST part is seeing results little by little each week.
