Definitely a case of the easier thing being harder. I've been doing craddle tosses, aka log rolls, from a cradle position for years. Just toss the flyer high and catch them again - the rest is up to the flyer. But @shannon_switzer showed me a version used in dancing, where you start from standing. My problem is that every instinct in my body says toss high, but in this case, high messes with the move. Instead it's a low pull and a lot of torque, which I was starting to get in the last iteration.
