Meet Josh, a Lemonader and product designer at Lyft with some killer career advice ⠀
@joshlikesdesign "My path into product design wasn’t exactly traditional. When I was younger, I was really into punk zines, so I studied graphic design to do posters and album covers. After college, I had all this debt, and loved problem solving and tech. I eventually got a job doing web design, and took off from there. Now, my experience at Twitter and Lyft has taught me that people are a product of their environment. If you want to be a product designer, getting to know other designers will help you tremendously. Also, the best advice I’ve gotten is “buy the first round,” meaning always be welcoming and show small acts of warmth. I like to let people know I appreciate spending time with them."
