The Kruger National Park is incredibly dry at the moment and many water holes are now non-existent but elephants almost always know where to find the world’s most valuable resource. This herd was making use of these self-dug holes to get to the cleaner ground water. These elephants have become regulars outside Hamilton’s Tented Camp in the Mluwati Concession where there is still a small surface waterhole and plenty of ground water beneath the dry river bed.
PS. How cute is that little baby Ellie?
