The overhead tunnels and glass in the floor provided opportunities to see the fish from all angles and the girls just loved it! Mama wiped away a few tears because it all seemed so magical and unlike exhibits in other places where the animals seem so contained and even sad, these fish seemed so well taken care of and our birthday girl just lit up! One of the skills Willow lost in her regression is the ability to be up on all fours, supporting herself and even crawling. This partnered with her struggle in squatting and bending means that if she falls, she's down until someone can help her back up, or vice versa, if she wants to get down from standing, she can either get help or do her best to fall into position. We work on this skill daily to try and trigger her muscle memory and sometimes she stuns us and out of the blue will crawl across the room, but it is months and months between this occurances. This glass floor was more motivating than anything else we've tried so far and now mama's stuck thinking how we can have something like this at our house too hehe.
