I preach this all the time with my patients. If someone tells you that spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, or any modality will fix you on its own, they are lying to you. The use of these tools can greatly optimize our tissues and joints for a period of time however, if we do not learn how to move properly, load our joints through different ranges of motion, and repeat frequently, the problem will reoccur in the not so distant future. Regular movement/exercise is necessary for good joint and tissue health, not to mention the release of various hormones that improve our ability to deal psychological stressors. Exercise is the most under prescribed medicine and the amazing part about it is that ITS FREE!!
