Warning : Tourist cop out ahead. We’ve found ourselves hiding away from the suicidal scooters & market hecklers in an (presumably) Aussie owned bar that had a big “craft beer” sign out the front. The sports channels are blaring & there’s an Adelaide Crows guernsey framed on the wall. We are however going for the locally brewed craft beer. My malt mistress has gone for a repeat of the @pasteurstreetbrewing Jasmine IPA & I’m trying the Phat Rooster Saigon Blonde. It’s silky & has a tangy bitterness & gentle citrus hit that tickles the tongue. It’s a fitting tribute to Vietnam’s traditional lager style whilst injecting a distinctive craft “edge”. I like.
